We left Turkey two weeks ago and are back in Greece its wonderful to be back, can't say we felt the same about Turkey this past year. Has anything changed while we have been away, absolutely nothing. We have been in to 7 Greek Islands/Ports and checked in twice heard nothing and been asked for nothing regarding the horrid new tax. When speaking to the locals they just smile and say don't worry about it, it will take the Government years to sort it out.

This is one boats experience over the past two weeks sailing from Turkey to Kalamata.

I think that maybe, Mark has hit on the true perspective in this issue. Let us ALL, just "Wait and see" (For we know the true attitudes? of the Greeks, and "outcomes" on SO many other historic issues of similar "gravitas", don't we?)

I find this claim (“For we know, don’t we?” ) to be a bit questionable. Your recent conclusion was actually advised by Glyka others and myself early on, but it took months, hundreds of pages and rivers of poison before ending up at the same point.

What up with this forum , people just can't wait to pick on a comment and made a big deal out of it , I thought the whole idea of this and other boating forum was to give out usefully info and help other others out , not to look for a a reason to have a go at others , god man we all make mistakes , I started to stop contributing so much , fed up with all the know all and the arm chair sailor who spend more time in the bar then at sea .

It's that time of the year vic. We'll all behave better when we're back afloat, I'm sure.

We will be late this year due to the disposal of our business which is proving to be a bit of a trial - too many contenders and technical knots to tie but when it's all over!
