New Sutton Bridge moorings

Good news for Sutton Bridge and the area as a whole (boating wise).

I note they say "unrestricted access to The Wash and beyond". Wonder if they plan to dredge the channel. Always seemed a bit daft to me, not dredging it. It's mostly navigable, so didn't ought to take much doing. Mind you, they couldn't even keep the moorings in Wisbech dredged. When we left, boats were actually sitting on mud at sides of the river at LWS.

The ANRC used to have a pontoon there, it can get interesting with a strong northerly and a falling tide.

Looking forward to a visit and show the kids the old dock and lock? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sutton_Bridge hope the new one last longer?

Perhaps we should organise a meet there when it opens, we could even re-start the cricket match on the sands?

I thought the standard wash emergency equipment included a cricket bat, ball, stumps and a few tins?

Apparently you don't get bonus points for hitting an F16!!
