thinking of getting one of these but im also wondering what are the other manufacturers equivalents available?

The only other one on the market is a Simrad. Generally the "tests" show the Raymarine to be a bit better, but the Simrad may be cheaper.

Having had water ingress into a ST2000 that I took great, great care of I would never have another. Bought a Simrad TP30 and it has been brilliant.
