New spray hood - recommendations in Suffolk area?

Mike Bamford [01473 737414 or 07899 696 606] makes them. He's made me a few "canvassy" items and did a small repair to the frame of my sprayhood. I've no connection other than as a customer.
 
Quantum (Parker and Kay) at Suffolk Yacht Harbour will do a superb job. They are not the cheapest but you will get a quality job that will fit like a glove. They did a new hood for our Westerly which has performed extremely well over two seasons in the Med plus the long trip "down the outside" from SYH to the Med. THe quality of the materials and stitching is excellent. I know of people who have oprted for a cheapo option and always regretted it. Bit like the difference between an off-the-peg suit and a bespoke job. However, in the end it depends on your budget but you could end up having to replace the cheapo much earlier.

Homa Glad you found the recommendation useful. Re your query about Jeckells, there are two Jeckells firms in Wroxham, the sailmakers who have a new loft on the outskirts of town and the "other" Jeckells down that little alley opposite Roys who do boat covers and hoods etc. They have done some work for me, but not the hood. They are a long way from Suffolk and for me the good thing about using Quantum is that because they are on site as it were, it was easy for them to make lots of checks on the fitting so that they got it right.
