New Season Solent Meet

It's quite a long way off. I wonder if something a little closer to home might be an idea, whether as an alternative or in addition to. I can't think when the last forum meeting was but it seems a long time ago.

I can't even plan 5 months from here :)

Yep, how about an Easter gathering, or late April for those whose boats are a bit further behind in the prep stakes? Again, East Cowes or Yarmouth for me.
 
I would love to come along if newbies to the forum as well as relatively boating newbies are welcome. Also, if I manage to get the purchase completed and the boat moved to the Solent by then.

In short, I'm in.
 
Right then, to firm up a final date, I have Saturday 19th May.

Location - East Cowes Marina

Social to be at the Lifeboat pub.

A few people on here will be doing a round the island cycle that day, so the gathering would start from 5pm onwards.

Col, could you please liaise with East Cowes re this date and for those wanting to come, just reply to this thread.

Well we have a date we are sticking to. What could now possibly go wrong.........!??!
 
Don't come on here in ages, when I do, find a Beer and Natter post in full swing, bliss :) Pop me down as a yes please, boat name Bizzy Bee. will be doing some peddling on the push bike around the island to earn the beer that weekend with Rafiki, Henry F and hopefully a few others.
