I'll be interested to see if there's any improvement when the weather turns and I can get back outside. If people stop pointing and laughing it will be a bonus :)

Lovely ride yesterday Henry. 13c and sunny ooop nooorth. Bike got a bit messy as the roads were wet and muddy though :(
 
Ok, so from what we are seeing a Sat night would be more preferable. So...

Saturday 7th July is the date. Again, a cruise in company over there is welcome, but not an issue if you want to be there earlier such as Rafiki who is turning this into a cycling endurance fitness camp. I for one will be having a beer and can cheer you on the finish line..... ;-)

I plan to get this booked imminently, so can I please ask those that wish to take part to PM me your name and boat name / LOA so I can get things provisionally sorted. Also, if you know other forumites that haven't seen this can you give them a nudge.

It will be perhaps much nicer in the evening anyway and if you can give me an indication if you will take a berth for the night. I personally intend to as to ensure I enjoy a couple of beers.....

Would love to come, but the date is no good for us. We will wave from Britannia as we pass by early the following morning on our way back to Southampton. Have a good time all who make it.
 
We are going to be based there from this year so the only obstacle for us will be SWMBO's social calendar !
I am not allowed alcohol so will need to recruit a smuggling commitee for one or two ! (I won't go beyond that twice a year,but her rules are zero) :o
 
They're well used to dealing with rallies, the only weekends to avoid would be Round The Island, Cowes Week and possibly IOW Festival. I'm happy to liaise with the marina staff and the Lifeboat to keep them updated on numbers.
