New Season Solent Meet

Hi Everyone.

An update for you.

I have spoken to the Lifeboat for dinner on the 19th May at 7pm and am going to make the booking on Wednesday this week. There is a charge of £5 per head to make a booking of over 15 people, so I request you please do the following -

- Please PM me to confirm you will be attending for dinner, and how many of you there will be. I will need you to do this no later than 11am on Wednesday this week.

Please can I ask those of you that know attendees or potential attendees to prompt them to respond to this also. Just to ensure we have accurate final numbers. Clearly I dont want to put down a massive deposit that is incorrect!!!

The Lifeboat is hoasting a Hawain Night on the 19th!!!! It doesnt kick off till 9:30 but there will be life music etc.

If anyone has any questions let me know, and please PM me to confirm attendence for dinner ASAP!

0 PMs so far.......!!!!!! I know of around 6 / 8 of you who had said you were coming, but given the deposit I need a PM to confirm your attendance. I can then have accurate numbers so I can make the booking tomorrow.

Pls can you respond via PM if you are coming for the YBW meet dinner on Sat 19th May, 7pm at the Lifeboat. Rafiki, I know you are coming, as is Flowerpower. But need other confirmations.
 
Unfortunately, it looks as if due to Father in Laws impending operation, Mrs V will not be available as crew, and single handing an SC35 could be “interesting”.

I’ll let you know as soon as I do what is going on.
I’ll try a press gang first to see if I can rustle up an alternative Mrs V.

Have booked a table for 14 to allow for any increase in numbers but that should suffice for now.

Lyonnesse will be stripped of all cockpit uphosltry whilst its being redone at Tockfield, so whilst I would love to invite you all onboard for a knees up, it wont be too comfortable. We'll have to invade someone elses boat instead...

Yep and despite best intentions fitness not improved and I struggled to keep up with you on hills. As a Welshman that used ride regularly I they shouldn’t have even slowed me down. I have lost 2 stone since Christmas though which is good!

Done better than me Mark. It will not be a race, but a nice ride round with several stops for refreshment. My participation is not 100% , as I had an off a couple of weeks ago, and suffered a broken finger. 4 hour op to fix with plenty of mechano involved. No problem cycling, but this is my glass lifting hand :ambivalence:
