Looks like someone has opened a new scrubbing area on The Orwell, the first customer was there yesterday, looks like he'll have plenty of time for a good scrub, this was taken about an hour before LW.

Ouch, that won’t have done his props any good. It is fair hard gravel there not soft mud.
I have been aground in most areas of the area, and the Stour, whilst racing and have had a quite intimate acquaintance with the type of bottom in each place.?
Where the bottom was hard it was just a matter of jumping over side and pushing off, we only drew 3 Ft, if soft mud it was a matter of trying to pole off with a long oar. I discovered the hard way not to try in soft mud, I hopped over the side and tried to push, it went from being about hip deep to chest deep very fast as I sank into the mud and I had a real struggle to get myself back aboard, a bit scary as my crew was my young son and it was late in the day. Luckily I was able to a get a tow otherwise we would have been there all night.
