Anyone who's been watching 'Getting Afloat' with Nick Gates on Discovery Home & Leisure might be interested to know there's a new 15-part series called 'Dreamboats' with Anton Fitzpatrick starting this Friday.
It's on at 6:00 am and 16:00pm every weekday (not bank hol 25th) from Friday 8th Aug to Fri 29th Aug. From the descriptions on http://www.homeandleisure.co.uk it sounds a similar format to Getting Afloat where a timber sailyboat is renovated plus features.
Getting Afloat is still running at the same times as above this week, then repeats on occasional Saturdays & Sundays. I asked DH&L to tell me about the series and they only told me about the first 6. Didn't realise there were 15 and thought it odd it ended with a half-built boat (as if there aren't enough of those already!).
They could make more of an effort to promote these things- only heard about the new series by accident.
The bloke who rebuilds cars ('a car is reborn'?), and now choppers, should have a go at a boat from plans- that would make a good series.
P.S. I'm nothing to do with the programmes, just an interested viewer.
Happy viewing, Steve
