I hope your new cloths are all you hope them to be but you still have that god awful in mast reefing.

Do I take it that Crusader are THE company to go to for new sails?I was referring to another post wher I promised to eat my hat if Crusader did not deliver on time. Two further hat opportunities await.
but you still have that god awful in mast reefing.
New sails!? Excellent!
We had to remast Mermaid when we first got her and this meant a main mast that was 10' higher and adding back the mizzen (no idea where the old one went) using the genuine original rig plan.
That also involved two new sails (fully battened main plus 75% battened mizzen). That was a great feeling - the first 'proper' sail and finding out she sailed as well.
Too broke to afford £2500-3000 for the genoa after all that though.
Considered 2nd hand but still £1k plus alterations.
Along came Foxs Marina Yacht Club's inaugural boat jumble the other weekend and someone had a set of sails off an Oyster 435 Ketch they had got as part of a job lot.
The Genoa was about right so we are now the proud owner of a Hood, radial cut, genoa with padded luff for the princely sum of £20!!!!
It works too - we tried it on Sunday:
