I have filmed the Squib sail I inherited

it is almost new

just one tiny pinhole that i can see

hardly been used

still crisp

it seems a crime to cut it up when an old sail would do just as well

so I was wondering if anyone knew any squib sailors who would swap me an old blown out main and an old genoa (with a luff wire) plus the cost of re-cuttng a squib main down to 13 foot six inches in the luff for this almost immaculate crisp but old main

or

I can just send the sail off for a £50 butchering

- but it seems a shame

so if anyone knows any squib sailors who would be interested in a new sail....

Hi Dylan,

We have 7 or 8 Squibs at our Sailing Club. I'll be racing one at Lowestoft next month. If you don't mind holding fire for a few days, I'll ask the Squib guys if anyone needs one.

well,

my plan is to put a rig together for going up the Ouse above Naburn

so....

can't wait too long

if anyone knows ways of spreading word among squib sailors

otherwise the sail gets butchered

Well with the greatest will in the world Dylan, how fast are you expecting to get 'word' across?? I'll be speaking with Squibber tomorrow and there will be 40+ squibs at the Nationals in a few weeks? Short of beaming a Squiib shaped light into the sky calling all squibbers to arms, I think that's about as quick as it gets!
