Was surprised to see this as I thought all hire companies specificaly excluded use below Teddington and the Tideway.
I guess a transit from Brentford to Teddington is doable but the thought of complete novices navigating a NB through central London is mad.

The link states that while the agreed requirements are for Teddington to Brentford, further discussion is taking place regarding Brentford to Limehouse.
While indeed "novices in NBs on the Tidway" is a horrific prospect, I guess the authorities perceieve a need to cater for experienced, competent charterers also - albeit I imagine there is infinitessimal demand in comparison with both the up-river boat hire and coastal/offshore charter markets.
