Thought I’d put this on a new thread rather than continue one about why my prop fell off.
Use case:
- will probably do a lot of motor sailing (schedule wind over purism) in Caribbean
- performance in reverse important
- lessen drag when sailing
- low maintenance but skipper (my daughter) is master scuba diver and has demonstrated ability to change shaft anode underwater
Fixed prop only wins on low maintenance. On a budget so forget Maxprop etc. Don’t think conventional folders very good in reverse. Got quotes for Featherstream, which I’ve had on my Sadler for 7 years and Bruntons Autoprop. Autoprop is about 20% more expensive - any thoughts on pros and cons between these two?
