Thanks to Sailorman the overheat problem of a month ago seems sorted - engine ran for an hour at cruising revs without a problem alongside on Saturday.

Fox's installed new depth thru hull. Got to go back after Easter for them to get all the instruments to talk but at least I have depth data!

So Saturday afternoon I left Fox's and headed all the way down river to Pin Mill, even had a sail on way :D and saw Alchemist's big sister Wild Otter on way.

At Pin Mill went ashore for a swift one up the butt - £3.80 a pint for ghost ship - seems steep!

Sunday morning had a hunt about for my mooring number 630 but couldn't find it so took 631. Did check both sides of river but it seems the numbering isn't odds to starboard / evens to port. Still gives me an excuse (not that I need one) to go to boat next weekend and move her.

List of jobs still growing though as heads have now packed up pumping out. When I took pump to pieces the 'joker' valve had inverted? Still I have loads of buckets!! :o

Good weekend - feeling contented! Maybe next weekend I will venture into Pin Mill Sailing Club :encouragement:

Ask Gus or Sarah; they have a big plan of all the PM moorings in the office and they will be able to give you an exact location for yours.

we were about on Saturday afternoon, taking the dog for his first sail. We just had the gennie up to minimise distractions whilst puppy handling, he enjoyed it enormously! So if you saw a springer spaniel pup looking as if he was about to leap overboard it was us!

Gorgeous day, though!

No, we were in a Moody S38 with a radar pole at the stern, I wondered if it was you in the boat just to starboard of us going up river in the afternoon?

Peter glad all went well. My plans to be down this weekend did not pan out. Will be down next week to bend sails on etc.
We are on the far side opposite the Butt buoy. Hopefully we are still sitting nicely on our mooring! Gus when he launched us did all the checks so we should be sitting nice and level. Would like to have been down and checked everything over but there we go.

Peter, look forward to seeing you there. We are just downstream of Butt, or will be in a couple of weeks. Stil in the yard at present doing various jobe and waiting for others to be done
