New Part

I'm thinking of buying a new part for the boat.

I read loads of posts on here and find the advice really helpful.

I have used Raymarine in the past as well as Volvo and Icom. Standard Horizon gets good press.

Are Ocean Safety reliable for new parts or should I stick with the West system?

Any help in this forest would be really appreciated.

After all, it's hard to know what is the truth.

And is Sail different from Power?

Thurble grip thribleys are the only way to go. Keep a goodly supply at hand to feed trolls.

I bought a new part last week, and fitted it last Friday. It works well, so I can recommend it.

I also had to fit a new part but I had to make it fit an old part so I used a newpart/oldpart interface which I got from Halfords.

No such thing as a cheap SWMBO - you should have checked with the forum before you proposed.
