Looks good for what you want. Cant believe will be difficult to manoeuvre, after all it doesn't have a long keel so no excuses at all!
... we're getting a couple of days familiarisation and informal training from the current owner thrown in (she's a Yachtmaster Instructor, sail and power, and sailing school proprietor!) which will be a tremendous help
I think you've just closed out a whole avenue of excuses - is that wise? I need all I can get!![]()
Shouldn't be difficult, just a lot bigger and a lot heavier! With consequent increase in damage potential if we get it wrong
I suspect she'll be much like Erbas in that she will do whatever the hell she wants in astern (steering Erbas backwards is a total lottery) but also like Erbas she's got a big reserve of oomph to get you out of grief if it all goes Pete Tong. We shall find out in due course - and we're getting a couple of days familiarisation and informal training from the current owner thrown in (she's a Yachtmaster Instructor, sail and power, and sailing school proprietor!) which will be a tremendous help
Wow, she's got enough storage for five years supply of Hobgoblin! Mind you if I had five years supply of hobgoblin I wouldn't be doing much sailing
Hope she works out well for you.
All the best drinking establishments need to be restocked from the cellar from time to time.Ta muchley, we're really excited. Looks like she'll be ours by mid-Feb if all goes to plan
I do have a major problem with the Hobgoblin storage though. The current No.1 Beer Hold is perfectly sited in the bilge (keeps the beer at the perfect temperature of course) and perfectly sized for a decent stock of the good stuff without it rattling around. I haven't worked out where the hell the No.1 (and No.2 and No.3 and ...) Beer Hold will be on Pagan yet - the storage spaces under the saloon sole would swallow an entire day's output from the Wychwood brewery which is just plain silly (tempting though). An early mission will be to search the boat for a suitable location for said beer hold but I fear in future digging out a refill might mean having to stand up and move - I can reach the current Beer Hold from my favourite lounging location on Erbas![]()
How appropriate that the hallowed product of the Wychwood brewery should be transported by a Pagan.
