Hello, I have enjoyed reading this forum for some time and was concerned, nay , convinced that it was a little bit of a close knit club, however I do enjoy the banter and have benefited from some of the advice/knowledge/experience of contributors. So let me just say that I am looking forward to meeting some of you in the future. ps nice photo of my boat you posted a while back Byron

Hey Potterer and a warm welcome. Sorry you gained the impression we are cliquey. Far from it, whilst it is true some of us have known each other for more years than we care to count. I would hate to think of us as a closed community.

Incidentally, what photo did I post and why?

i'm in charge of Subs, it's fifty quid a year, in advance..... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Welcome anyway, nice to have fresh vict... er, members! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No its not.. we let Old Git in and he is from the Mudway...

Anyway The Wash is connected to the Thames by that salty bit of water, you are almost a tributary!

From the Forums Main Index Page:

"The Thames Forum (3 viewing)
A place to discuss boating issues specific to the Thames and other inland waterways"

.....and thats the topics - certainly not a residential requirement !

In answer to your query Byron, it was the photo you posted to promote the moorings upstream from you at moulsford. The weston 22 with the red hood.

Ah! You are on Roger's moorings then. Is your wife is the friendly lady who works (worked?) at the Petrol Station at Moulsford?
Why have you never joined the Oxford Ditch? I mean it couldn't be more convenient for you.

Yes Byron you have got it in one !! however just to put the record straight Sheena is not my wife, however we have lived together for the last twenty years.!!
I have mooved to Shillingford Bridge ( power water security etc ) and am looking forward to joining in with forum members later this year. I intend to sell the Weston as I have a Freeman 24 which is current at Sheridan undergoing treatment for excess alkaline in in her bottom.
