...arrived at bjb towers yesterday. Another good 'un, Hugo. I really like the Jon Mendez articles: nicely put together and informative without being patronising...just like the man himself :).

Having recently been looking at marina prices - oh yes, the good ship Snow Goose has a new home - I enjoyed reading about other people's experience of the subject. Suffice it to say that, NickH I know exactly where you are coming from. Bit green with envy at John Wolf making a profit, but consoled myself by factoring in the cost of money to produce the more usual marine experience.

Very sensible comments in the What now skip section, I thought. :D

Just had second look at the mag and agree its a nice issue - loads of interest for me there.

One point Hugo - the pix (p13) of the PWC towing the burning boat down the Hamilton harbour in Bermuda was actually towing the on-fire boat AWAY from the fuel berth! I know 'cos I was there recently.

Wasn't that rough honest

I was surprised to see a picture of the good ship Scaramoosh off Cap de la Hague in the new edition. I have to say it looks a lot rougher than it felt but I was glad to get into Cherbourg.

What I want to know is who submitted the picture and got the Goodies!

and Hug's says **** in the words about the HP washer thingy.

My take on Hugo's write up on the battery washer thingy is,you lazy**** I've just scrubbed my non slip deck areas with cleaner and a scrubbing brush, (albeit on the end of a long tom) saves all that bending, and a hose to flush off works well and don't cost £150, that will eventually end up in a locker and never used again or at the back of the garage at home.:D

I had a big cleaning and polishing session earlier in the year - I timed it nicely for about a week before the boat came out for all sorts of major surgery which rendered my efforts null and void. Anyhow, as I settled down to scrub the very first thing that happened was that the scrubbing brush handle snapped (at the joint with the brush). So it was down on hands and knees: thought I'd never walk again. :D

I know exactly what that is like, but I drove away to the hardware store and bought another, at great expense might I add, £1.99p:D

When you're a free bus pass holder, you don't do bending down on hands and knees, it's against the rules;)
