CHA have laid a new safe water mark in the Rays'n, a little way north of the
Buxey Beacon. It is a small yellow pillar buoy with an X topmark.

Is that a different one to that which was already there (near the Swire Hole), Jim? We noted it when researching the second edition of ECP last year, it had just been laid then. That one was also a yellow pillar, Fl(5)Y.20s. It's shown on my Imray chart pack, I'm sure, but the pack is on the boat at present so cannot check.
Or maybe this is another one? Or they moved the first one?

welcome back Jim

Hello Jim.

Welcome back to the muddy shores of the UK's East Coast.

Bet you missed all our lovely moist, grey weather while you were shielding yourself from that scorching Greek sun and those azure skies. Never mind, home now.

Pity me, cos I have to go to those foreign shores myself in a few weeks time. Sad innit?

Had a look at the chart today, Jim, that mark has indeed been there a while. It's shown on the Admiralty Essex/Suffolk chart folio, the 6th Edition published 2007.
