Two new marinas are going to be built on the East coast of Ireland. (Will be handy for those in Pwllheli etc who'll now be able to spend "Nos Sadwrn" in comfort on a weekend trip.)

Greystones, Wicklow. 236 berths.

Bray, Wicklow. 120 berths.

Aah! but now you'll have lovely pontoons to go ashore on instead of that old slippery dinghy!

I've very often done that. I find fishermen extremely reasonable even if several times I've had to re-locate at 5am (or else start the next leg early!)

(They're also the first people I chat to to suss out a new area.)

As far as I know, the town council are undertaking a feasibility study for an area north of the existing harbour on "North Beach".

It's for a 120 berth marina plus mixed housing development and I've been told they're aiming for 2005.
