New Marina for Newport (South Wales)?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that plans were afoot for a new marina on the South Wales coast, somewhere near Newport.
Does anyone have any further information on this?

ps has anyone been to Bury Port?

I have been to the pool outside Bury Port.
That is a very shallow area and the charts are always out of date. I use the forward sonar and probe my way.
You can also find yourself with a few metres of water there and still be trapped because of the bar to the estuary.
So if uo go be careful.

I remember reading in the paper they were going to put a marina there but not heard anything else since
Havnt been to bury port but did get into the bay and saw dolphins and seals
there was no fuel there last year when I phoned them
its a tidal gate like watchet entrance a few hours either side of hw
