This is hot off the press today and is shocking.
The chartlet shows the new larger area under consideration by FINDING SANCTUARY as a Marine Conservation Zone which could eventually lead to it becoming a NO ANCHOR ZONE .
As you can see it more or less wipes out most of Studland Bay and will mean we can only anchor off the NUDIST BEACH which is wholly unsuitable for anyone with kids and family onboard.
If you want to protest against these plans then join us on Facebook at SAVE STUDLAND BAY group where we already have 73 members and some interesting video clips of numerous boats anchored in the Bay in 1936 .

***** !!!!!

For me this is a turning point. Mission creep is an understatement. Where does this suggestion originate ? FS or that Seahorse lot ?

Any consultation periods yet ?

It really is about time that normal users got together and co-ordinated a response. Happy to help.

We will fight them... ...on the beaches...

Seriously, where did this latest chartlet come from, because the one on the MCS website right now is much smaller, only extending north as far as Redend Point:

For anyone who knows the area, very little anchoring goes on much north of here because the Milkmaid Bank is generally too shallow and the northern end of the beach too exposed. Even the MCS proposal would effectively wipe out Studland as an anchorage.

[ NUDIST BEACH which is wholly unsuitable for anyone with kids and family onboard.

You have a problem with the human body as well eh ?,you really need to see somebody urgently about that :) or perhaps another facebook protest might make you feel better?

This area is not sheltered. That apart if you want to see bouncing dicks and saggy tits frolicking with frisbies or same sex antics in the dunes then it is an ideal spot to anchor. Personally, I wouldn't, even with a Rocna.:)

What about a fisherman ? :)

Isn't this a breach of Crown Copyright? (;-0)

You protesters need to be as canny as your tormentors......they know they have the Ace card with the "Sea Horses and the Environmental Impact" element......go with them so far but set your boundaries, beyond which you are not prepared to go! Negotiate, fighting is a waste of your time as you'll get nowhere! Show yourselves be willing to go so far, but no further. Talk with them, don't just shout AT them.

Good luck, and I look forward to dropping anchor in Studland Bay at some point in the future, hopefully without dropping it on the bonce of those sweet little banana shaped marine maggots.

Studland Bay Nudist Anchorage

Disgusting isn't it ! I'd never anchor off there never mind go ashore its a NO GO ZONE as far as I'm concerned. Pity the Seahorses haven't been found off here yet that would keep all the NATURAL EXPERTS at that end of the beach.
We like Seahorses we just don't like their Experts !
EMERGENCY EDIT= SORRY PROJECT SEAHORSE !
I meant the people who tell us they are EXPERTS but don't have any Marine Biology Degree's or qualifications between them , and we all know who they are !

Lucky winner

Good for you Major that'll buy you 1 hours sheltered mooring in Studland Bay Eco Mooring Haven next summer .;)

I see it as a good thing. The amout of **** that gets pumped out of the boats there is disgusting. On a good weekend when the weather is warm its like an open sewer at times.....
