Hi Mamboman. Welcome to the forums. I too am at York Marina. There is quite often a Fairline targa regatta mooring up to the river pontoons on a Saturday evening.

I too moor up to the self same pontoons of a saturday night, to introduce the riff raff element and keep the evening in balance. Otherwise, i'm in the cheap seats on D pontoon.

Another forum tip. Don't mention COLREGS or displaying anchor balls. :D

To become a fully paid up member of the York Marina Riff Raff Group takes years of drinking warm lager straight from the can, playing disreputably loud music whilst perambulating the river and causing just enough wake to gently knock the bubbles out of the champagne glasses of moored Fairline Targa's, yet not enough to cause offence or spill it.
Tis a fine line to draw and takes years of practice to get it right.


When the marina management decide you have paid your dues and are worthy of bearing the Riff Raff name, then you get invited onto here:

Your not on F pontoon with all the other targa louts are you,we were on F23 down the poor end,you have to go past us poor people to get to the louts section,mind you dont trip up over our collection of empty beer cans and old curry containers,
Hopefully i,ll be back on the water for march.
