New instrument question

I have just purchased a new Clipper duel depth and log instrument, can anyone advise me if i will need to change the transducer and paddle wheel from my old Stowe micro 200 and 210

I was in a similar position.

The Stowe depth transducers are 204KHz. The only display I could find that would work with this was the EchoPilot Bronze Trio. This allows you to set the transducer frequency. Most common transducers are 150KHz I think.

As for the log I don't know about compatibility with Nasa but I discovered that there are two Stowe log paddles around, a blue one and a red one. My Micro had a blue one which didn't work with the EchoPilot Bronze Trio because is needed a 12v power and the Trio only provides 5v. The red stowe paddle wheel does work with the Trio because it accepts the 5v power. It also fits in the same housing as the blue. I got a replacement red paddle wheel from EchoPilot directly but it is the same as the Stowe red one as far as I know.

Thanks all, looks like i will have to have a look at the log and hope the new one fits in the existing hull fitting tube. As for the depth transducer think i will look at disconnecting the old one and fitting the new one in side the boat

Scareyclott - I've just Pm'ed you about this i hope you dont mind. I was wondering if you found a solution to this?

I have a Nasa Clipper and an Airmar log wheel. New Nasa log will slide in the housing but has a different screw fitting. It also has a 4 or 5 pin connector and the Nasa unit is only 2.
