New Inn Shalfleet

The New Inn reopened, again. New owners making an effort.
Had a very nice meal couple of weeks ago and seemed popular with the locals and visiting boats.
They now run a pick up, drop off service to Shalfleet Quay.
The quay itself is not usable for a tender anything less than 1.6m of tide, approximated from Yarmouth (ask me how I know)

Not to far to walk from the quay. I have in the past dragged the dinghy down the creek. Back then the bottom was gravel in the middle.

Although for the reasonably mobile, it's a flat, pleasant stroll from the quay to the pub.

The New Inn had just reopened back in July when we drove past. It was very unexpected, after repeated claims that the pub had closed permanently.

We had a wonderful lunch. Forum grumpies said it looked like an undersized portion, but it's the fault of my photography. We really were very satisfied and the quality was superb.
