We finally managed to move the boat last week from Windsor to T&K. Great trip up, stopping at Maidenhead, for Thai takeaway, then another night in Henley. The river was dropping but in fast flow, making navigation interesting, especially going under Cookham, Henley and Sonning Bridges. No pictures this time as it was too cold to take off gloves, scarves etc!
On reaching T&K we were welcomed by Lee who went to our new berth and took our lines before checking us in. Small things like coming out to check that the electronic gate keys both worked or explaining how the power supply system worked impressed me along with everyone proving to be exceptionally friendly.
We will miss friends at Windsor but with the boat now only 20 mins by bike (we only have one car) I am looking forward to escaping from work to use her (and clean) her more.
