New entry regs for Spain? advice welcome.

I understand that we are going to need proof of funds, proof of return flight and proof of residence in order to enter Spain.
How is the proof of funds done?
Pity about the return flight as we normally wait till we are ready to come home before booking return.
How is proof of residence demonstrated if you are going to a boat?

I'd be asking the Spanish Embassy in London. Less likely to be open to interpretation.

Shouldn't pose much of a problem for those who have boat there, seems to be in line with many other countries entry requirements.
