i have imported lots of things for my v8 mercrusier.

cannt see way you would have the engine ce marked.?
from the u.s i have gotten dart cylinder heads
eagle crank

etc etc etc.
never had any problem's dealing with over sea's and would recommend it anytime.just use paypal to pay for item's.

Im looking to buy a 350 ci vortec engine to replace my damaged volvo penta V8 block.
Ive seen a new one advertised on Ebay in the UK and it is in the US.Delivery is to a port or airport.

Question is would I have to pay duty/vat or anything else on this or would it be simply collect from the port?

Long story cut short.......
I imported a made to measure cover for my boat last year, the price was £1850 inc delivery.

It was sent to Manchester airport and I had to collect it, with import duties VAT ect it was another £642 and it dont fit :(

did you let the suppiers no?
what was their answer?

i can only go on my own personal experience, but quality - pricing(including import duty)-and speed of delivery as been better than u.k supplier's.

I would imagine Tom mentioned it to them :)

No..... I'm the type of fellow that spends £2500 gets the wrong item delivered and then just lets the ****ing ****** get away with it..........

Ok lets just say we are still being nice about it, but not for much longer :)
