After various posts and lots of advice, going to see some second hand engines etc.etc., to-day we bought a brand new engine. Drove 250 miles to Preston to visit AMC Diesel who specialised in the old BMC?Thornycroft and now do direct replacements based on the Mitsubishi core engine.

The range have twin alternators fitted as standard, come with a choice of gearbox make/size, choice of control panel and if replacing an old Thornycroft will be set up so the exhaust fits and the feet match the original bearers.

They spent over an hour with us in the workshop responding to niave questions and we left having bought a 32Hp engine, deluxe control panel, PRM gearbox and four heavy duty mounting feet, with insured delivery to Spain included for a little over £4000.

Well worth talking to or visite their website.

I bought a new Mitsibushi / Thorneycroft ( T95 ) 39HP from them 8 months ago to replace an aged Thorneycroft 90 which turned out to be a simple replacement job, I am well pleased with the new engine and very happy with the excellent service from them, they were most helpfull, I reccomend anyone thinking of replacing an engine to speak to them first.
