Evening All,

Thinking about upgrading our head. You see cheapish electric toilets appearing in the discount online chandleries. You also see manual ones... Does any one sell a combination electric and manual ones?

This would be ideal for non boaty visitors or for marina living combined with passagemaking....

Cheers in advance for any ideas

Geoff

It's worth checking the electric one will fit. The motor sticks quite a long way out the back. Consequently you may need to pull the bowl forward and in turn the bowl may now hit the heads door. In addition, your old toilet probably sits on a rectangular/elongated base. The new toilet will have a round base. The bolt holes from the original toilet will all be visible and you'll have to fill them. Further, when you remove the old toilet base there will be a dark yellow stain where the base was. It will be extremely difficult to make this stain disappear even with oxalic acid and will always be visible.
