We've just had an excellent set of replacement covers made for us by Laurence of Dorset Trimmings and I forgot to ask him what he recommends for lubricating the push studs and zips to prevent them from becoming stiff and hard to use.

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?

silicon spray for the zips - especially before you leave the boat for a few weeks/months

You can run an old candle up the zip teeth. Silicone spray for the studs and fasteners.

Just use them. Not put anything on ours in 7 years and the zips are still free and non of the studs or fastenings are sticky.

I might have completely misremembered this, but aren't you mostly on fresh water though?
