New Chinese Diesel Heater -Slightly new design

Well I have installed it. This would be a very good heater if you had a bigish boat and could get the whole thing in a locker. This had a few improvements over my last all in one heater.

Although the price on these types of heater have gone up. I managed to get this one from Amazon delivered on Prime next day for £150.

As always this started up well first time.

Only one downside..... There was no battery in the remote but that was easily sorted.

Here is a short video of my installing it which was very quick with this one

Areat kida.

i am looking for a heater for the camper and like the look of these. if one of these it would be used out side the camper and warm air piped in. Want a 2Kw though. cant find one, any ideas where to get one, have you seen them about yet ?

I also looked for a 2 kw and found it difficult to find one. I think you would be ok with one of these because they are in my view less than about 5kw and probably more like 3kw

There are a couple of 2Kw on ebay, if they are 2Kw though. so much crap going about it does not make it easy nowadays. The heater will not be on a whole lot so mite just use the 5kw i have for now and run it at lower Hz. Its just to warm the van for an hour or so at night and mornings.

Correct, if people understood they wouldn’t use these heaters. Been plenty of warnings but none taken notice of.
There is nothing wrong with these heaters. The fittings I wouldn't use as they are not fit for purpose. But the units themselves are just fine. Ive had mine for 4 years and it works a treat. All for £100. Makes perfect sense. Just use a CO detector, and you won't go wrong.

These concerns have been covered more times than I had a cup of tea (well nearly). The core units are really nothing to be concerned about. (To be honest, there really is very little to them. They are incredibly simple devices).

Spot on

The Only thing wrong with these heaters are the people who fit them without really planning the install.
I'm still waiting for someone to actually present evidence that these heaters have actually caused an incident due to their build quality not the install
And yes the fittings aren't fit for purpose but anyone installing them should know this through planning and research.
