New canopy for "Bizzy Bee" - Sealine S28 by A1 Covers and Sails

Hi,

Have a re-read of the original post - I read it that Gary wanted flexibility of configuration, rather than perfection in origami.

I'm sure he'll be along in a bit to confirm or deny :)

Looks tidy, however i'd have done some things different (maybe you have your own reasoning)

I would not have had the cut/zip in the front section of the canopy at the red line. Instead, i'd have done it at the yellow line.
Why? Because there's a fold at the red line and the canopy won't roll straight/easily. If it were at the yellow line it'd roll straight (i've seen this cock-up on many boats before)

What's going on here? Thought the shape would have been made to suit the canopy better

mornin' good coments and they were options I pondered. I chose the red line is positoned there to maximise the view out the front of the boat and the quater glass/plastic is really on there for ventilation should it be required.. take the quater section out and leave in the windscreen sections.

hear what you're saying on the green bit. however from the inside of the boat it run perfectly aligned to the framework and radar arch ( unlike yours :D ), have a look at the video 1m 40secs in. I asked for as much plastic as could be got away with to let in more light as I had some concern about the extra canvas to make up the front section and the rear canopy resulting in too much canvas making the interior feel like a tent. Must admit that I am in two minds about the shape from the outside but that'll be easily addressed with some blue tape from the inside should I feel the urge to change the upper line to run parallel with the radar arch. At present, I don't feel the urge.

thanks again for the comments

Fair enough and a very valid point I guess. Your front section is quite rounded, whereas my own configuration is a lot more square

Again fair enough - I didn't actually watch the whole video, I now see that the green section matches up with the radar arch - I wasn't having a go at the window being there in the first place (it makes sense to have as much window as possible if that's your thing - it certainly is mine as it gives light. I was just a bit dumbfounded at the shape of the window - but if it matches up with the lines on the inside that's all that matters as that's what YOU'LL be looking at!

( unlike yours :D )
It matches up perfect mate ;)

You can't go far wrong with Wessex Teak Cleaner :D
Are you sure it was you that did the cleaning as I note that Caley is doing the cleaning in the above photo and drinking your beer by the looks off it

We want photo evidence in real time ;)
