Hello.
New to this forum. Am I, as a canal boater, an interloper?
I could not find a general welcome forum so posting here.
Based 50% in the UK on a 50' Gary Gorton trad boat in Cheshire and 50% in the Philippines in the Visayas.

Welcome to the forums but you being a canal boat owner might be better posting on The Thames Forum that does cover all canals. Having said that, a few canal boat owners do post here.

Although the Thames forum is worth a look, everything on there is exclusively Thames oriented and mainly for Gin Palaces with matching fenders and chaps with blazers complaining about tin slugs.
There a several dedicated narrowboat forums out there.
