Sorry about that Al, was an opportunity not to be missed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Besides, think we might be a bit safer with a slightly shorter delivery trip /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Nice one guys, congrats. Now when are you inviting the broke student over for some free grog? I'll bring the Buckfast! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Congratulations. She looks in fantastic condition, and very up-to-date interior finishes. Hope you are enjoying dealing with EBY - I am. Will probably see you down there sometime!
I'd like to echo the sentiments of others. The V39/40/41 series was absolutely cracking. It's hard to believe that Princess managed to design a boat in 1995 that still looks fresh today (I loved the slightly curved but still angular design). It really has stood the test of time extremely well.
Your joint ownership scheme is totally the right thing to do as well.
Yes, we initially started looking at 50k Sunseekers etc but pretty soon relised that we didnt really like the models available so started looking at later Portofino 375s and on to Fairline's.
We really went after a couple of Targa 37's which we thought would be the bees knees (and also still look very fresh) but missed one and didnt like the condition of the other.
I have always loved the V39/V40/V42 and I think it helps that the boat has changed very little in profile or design since 1994 and was basically still inproduction until last year.
Compare the 1995 V39 to the Targa 39 or martinique 39 and its easy to see the design is really the next generation or two. I for one am dead chuffed, and just hoping that it goes through the survey with flying colours.
