Sold Our Targa 40 about 5 months ago ' LUNA ' ( sold within a week :) )after owning her for just over 2 yrs, wanted something with a little more room and we liked the idea of a flybridge, after looking about at lots of different boats inc the Phantom 43 , we finally got a 2005 Azimut 46 with CAT C9's, Back in her home berth Haslar now , Really pleased with how performs and handles

will be getting her up to scratch and hopefully lots of boating about soon

Congratulations!!! I am in the same way... I am trying to buy an Azimut 46 and I think that I have done the right choice :)

I am waiting photos and reviews.
Theese engines are 500hp? Do you know top speed? Cruise? From what knots start planning? Any experience about fuel consumption ?

Anyone Know where best place to source parts for the CATS , usually a Volvo man so 1st boat with them , also would like to get hold of decent Service/workshop Manual

CAT C9'S , Got Operation and maintenance manual with it but not much info in them to be honest ,

Anyone with much experience on these engines, good and bad points?

cheers

Sorry been busy , will let you know when start using her (y)

Nice pics, what a super looking boat.
Cats - I take the dull and predictable route and get Finnings (theyre here in Poole) to do all my engine work / servicing, I changed the cooler cores when I bought the boat, since then it's just servicing and oil sampling each year. I know I could save a few £s using an equally experienced company, but I'm liking the continuity with the main agent + I might think otherwise I guess if they didn't happen to be so very local too?

Finnings is the only approved supplier of Marine parts for Cat engines in the UK. I source oil and fuel filters from commercial motor factors. I found a small company in Bristol that maintains the local buses, and they were helpful too.

Another Azimut 46 owner here!

We looked here in the UK but decided to buy and keep ours in Croatia - despite an eventful first year of ownership, we do love her!!!!

We went for the two cabin option but have successfully slept 7 on board as the lounge takes a blow up double bed (20y old son slept up on the flybridge!). Loads of room on board.

We have made some good contacts out there that help us with the boat/repairs/odd jobs etc - but heading out there in a few weeks to make sure all is well!

Enjoy your boat! She looks beautiful!

I regret not having enough time to be more active on this forum, but can mention having a 2006 Azimut 43 flying bridge in France for the last 7 years and absolutely love it. (I also have an Italian partner (for 37 years!) and love her just as much!) They are great boats, well engineered, and would not now have anything else.
Am considering a 2014 48 flying bridge for a little more space and a crew cabin. Does any body have experience of that model?
