Try keeping the saloon dry as you pass through it in soaking wet kit for a call of nature on a dark and stormy night.

Both my current and previous boats are/were late 70s/early 80s designs - wide beamed and narrow for and aft.
Midships was the only place for the head.

With advancing age, my sailing has become less and less adventurous.
A 24 hour overnight passage is about as exiting as it gets these days.
Only after a serious laps of judgment would I find myself afloat in a dark and stormy night.

One of the cons listed in the article is: heads forward of the saloon.

Why would this be a con? :unsure:
Both my current and previous boat had the heads forward of the saloon and I never found this to be an issue.

Indeed, why would less form stability be a con?
Looks like the reviewer was stuck for something to say.
