New boat needed, 10 - 12 metres motorboat-budget 250k

Looking to purchase a boat, mooring her in Chichester Marina, max length 12 metres, max budget 250k.Im not too keen on the galley down below, I prefer the galley up top, and just bedrooms and bathrooms below.So far ive narrowed it down to the Jeanneau NC33, or the Beneteau Swift Trawler, 34 or 35. However there doesn't seem to be a huge supply of either. If I purchase in France, im guessing I will be hammered for 20% vat when I bring her home? France seem to have more stock than the UK. Not bothered about 3 cabins either, 2 will be plenty.Although I do like the idea of the NC's with the storage locker you can throw things into from the saloon. Can you guys recommend anything, I dont want anything more than 5 years old, I hate to see the wear of everything when its an older boat, I want to be able to kid myself its new lol. Anybody any ideas of other boats that would fit my criteri? Thanks.

Just sold my Swift Trawler 34 2015 in France. Lovely boat but usual Beneteau issues re build. Overall great value and fly bridge is huge. Feels like a bigger boat on the water. Not many around for sale as they are a great solution to year round boating.

On your preference is for a newer boat it is worth saying that with leisure boats there isn’t necessarily a strong correlation between age and condition and if the five year figure is a cut off it might exclude some good options, which might not be helpful in current market conditions.

Take your point . However better features are normally brought into the newer versions of the boat . Also upholstery and the wood trim have become more modern with later style boats . If there was a boat that wAs older with the dark cabinetry even if it was mint i doubt i would buy it . How it l
