New boat. Nearly a whole entire month without something breaking !

Stuck at Runnymede, so bought two new engine start batteries to get the boat moving during this farce and assumed the old batteries ( VETUS) were finished due to battery voltage falling so low, but popped them on charge at home and they came back to life and charged fully.
Have checked them with some fancy kit and have been assured by the device that the batteries are still in good order.
Going to reinstall them on the boat.
Date Code 20 9MF.......................Anybody got any clue ?
Check that they deliver under load and maintain their voltage. I have been fooled before. Delving into electrics is always entertaining, usually for others. Took me hours to unravel a pump problem checking relays, pump, switch and eventually tracing the wiring to where it was spurred off a lighting circuit with a fuse which had blown.

Whenever I do an electrical job now I take out more than I put in, so to speak.

Two years old would be confirmed by a log book entry.
A rather sophisticated device borrowed from a garage, required keying in details as to if battery was in car, CCA and ambient temperature ,gave me the current CCA available when tested, and told me the batteries were giving 92% of their new capabilties.
