New bar at Gillingham Marina

Visitors to the Medway may like to know that Gillingham Marina has moved its bar to a new location. The new spot is a vast improvement in terms of space and also benefits from excellent views over the river. Why they didn't do it a few years ago is beyond me.

I suppose I have something of an interest as I am a berth holder in the marina

Have the put it back on the top of the building now, where it used to be? I never really understood why they moved it down to the ground floor in the first place

No, they have given us free access to the bar on the first floor of the gym complex which overlooks the Medway (i.e. it is in a different building). They did try to encourage us to use this facility a few years ago but insisted on us paying an entrance fee (you can guess the response ;-)
