Following on from our recent 'Boat Sold' post. We have this weekend taken possession of our new boat 'Mirrormile' she's a Beneteau Antares series 9.
Spent much of today cleaning and putting some of our bits and pieces on board. Looking forward to an overnight stay and a trip out next weekend!

It's a very nice boat and I am pleased to say that I was the foredeckman on their maiden voyage yesterday, as Phil moved her from one side of the dock to the crane, so he and Liz could power wash her. And boy did she need it.

Their first major job is to refuel her as I couldn't see any gin on board.

Well done Philiz hope everything goes to plan for you.

Bottle at the ready for first step aboard! but I don't think we will get 18 on board at the next get together.............. mind you it's about time we all raided Mucky ?

Hi Phil & Liz congratulations. Thought you might go for it after you told me about the "interesting" sea trials. You certainly picked a good day to test her seaworthyness.

Shame I'm in Deganwy now or I'd be over to raid the drinks cabinet.

Good luck with her.

Message to the Major, Tom, etc. We've already tried book a double cabin with en-suite facilities but Phil reckons we've got no chance - so please join the queue. Can't wait to see the new baby next weekend.

Thanks all for the good wishes but theres a little too much interest in our very small drinks cabinet for my liking.
HLB - She does put out a bit of smoke from her KAMD43, but can't compete with MF. We're keeping the name, anyway apparently there are enough offensive boat names about as it is. Looking forward to a ruffty trip next year!
Debs - The tribe haven't been on board yet but we're sure they'll soon get used to all the (comparative) space.
Major - See the pic, and get some rope throwing practice. Still more cleaning to be done if you're at a loose end after you move in.
Tom - 18 on board? Standing room only for 10 of em then! I'm with you, raid on MF next.
Bob - Yep, sea trial was erm. interesting. Took it well though! See you when you get back.
Laws - Go on then, you can kip on the flybridge!
Searush - You can have too much rope or too many fenders, no need to keep out of the way, we'll just bounce off!

Hmmm!
I did sneak a bit of an 'Over the Shoulder' job ref the Surveyor's investigations.
See, tiss a rather Small Community hereabouts!;)

I have had words with said Boatwright.

As two Proffesionals ref things Boaty.
It is patantley obvious.
Without too much trouble whatsoever.
That the Drinks Cabinet could be easily enlarged.

Drawings have been drawn up.:p
Well, not so much 'drawings' as , like yer know it's all 'puter' stuff now!

So.

Pute stuff has been looked at!

As you go Forward down the Companionway on the Starboard side.

An Area has been dedicated for the storage of alchaholic pleasures;)

You might have thought it was a 'Hanging Cupboard'.

For drying out stuff.
Well. I suppose it is really!!!:D
