Neverending BC Quiz (21)

It's great, just get the tide calculation right and it's pips. Solva is worth the effort, if you can dry out, or in the pool at the entrance.

...to hunt for the harbour which is the current question, which is not all that far away if I'm correct.

[/ QUOTE ]

You are.

It's L shaped is it not?

[/ QUOTE ]

It is.

It's a very tiny harbour by modern standards, but for hundreds of years it was used by many of the visitors to a nearby ecclesiastical establishment. Apparently going by sea was safer, during the dark ages and early mediaeval times, than travelling by land.

OK Ill jump in with a Q.

Your motoring down channel on a quiet night and you see the lights of a ship at anchor also displaying a horizontal row of lights green red green. What is it?

Only thing that comes to mind with a sequence GRG plus whites, is pair trawlers with one port light partially obscured. But that doesn't account for the lack of masthead greens /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How do we know the ship is at anchor? And is there more than one vessel involved?

Only one vessel no Trawling or fishing involved. It is at anchor but thats not really important to the question.

[ QUOTE ]
It's the THV Patricia, with 2 SHB's and a PHB on the aft deck, testing the lights

[/ QUOTE ]

Could be but no.
