Nelson 41 - how lovely

...to dine you raise the teak floor on one of those besenzoni gizmos. Literally, you are eating your food on the floor. Niiiice

I spotted that too, but it does at least have flap-over leaves to reveal a clean(ish) inside for dinner.

I think the whole boat suffers from being a converted work vessel, the space just fundamentally isn't laid out right for leisure use. In 41 feet, for example, I'd expect at least one actual cabin rather than a mattress in the kitchen :)

It's lovely but I wouldn't want to own it.
Reminds me of the Fairey Swordsman and Bates Starcraft 45,both for sale at Chichester that have had oodles of money spent on them and now the owners want some of it back,it ain't going to happen!

Its a lovely thing but I'm struggling to understand why a potential buyer wouldn't just buy a nice Aquastar 38 which would be drier, beamier, have loads more accommodation, cost half the price and still give him that Nelson credibility

If as a young man I could have afforded this boat I would have thought the arrangement whereby you could lie in bed and still help yourself to a snack from the galley would have been ideal. And having a stock of booze under the bed would have been a stroke of genius.

Add a giant screen and an unlimited supply of Doritos and it would be perfection on a stick. ?

Nope, I mean sure it's pretty but would I put 200k into it? Not on your life.

Crappy layout
Nasty white joinery
Wet ride

An AS38 I get, but even then inside they are dark and dismal. The newer pan aromatic models are much nicer

Were we??!! :D
Nothing wrong with Hansgrohe (I have them throughout on my boat) but Grohe is a separate business serving ao commercial proejects like hotel chain fitouts. Hansgrohe is much more high end domestic stuff than Grohe, and much nicer. Same original family, but completely separate businesses almost forever

on the thread drift, John, I think next boat should really really feature Vola kit. I also have hansgrohe both at home and boat, (and had to replace both thermostatic valves at home a month ago after 9yrs use on hardish water) but seriously Vola are in a league of their own. Doesn't look I'll building (or rebuilding) something for some time, so wont have the chance to use them (and most likely neither the money I'm afraid...)

Off the drift,
wonder why none mentions the bow arrangement that looked rather nice to me. Unless all the Nelsons have this setup with all this shinny curved inox bit around the gipsy.
I'm afraid that's the only nice thing I picked, doubt I can ever "acquire the taste" (almost an insult this cabinet work tbh), so I'll pass...
41ft and almost 1 double bed is way too much (or little...)

Looks nice moored on the marina though :D

I like the way that bottle of champagne and the plant seem to follow you round the boat, like those scary angel things on Dr Who which pounce on you if you look away.
