First time out at night this weekend since buying yacht last year found a) couldn't read compass - light completely useless and b) the Incastec digital repeater for the "spinning diode" Echopilot faded in a faint red glow and was completely unreadable . Not a big problem in Southampton Water/Itchen but certainly now number one priority after the leaking water pump. Looks like need new Contest compass but the echo sounder is more problematic. I can of course see the depth on the diode set at the chart table from the helm by "clock position" but the digital display does give a feeling (probably totally misplaced) of greater accuracy. Does anyone sell a repeater that might fit with the Echopilot (which works perfectly well)? Alternatively, if I got a raymarine i50 depth which would at least match the log, would it connect to my existing transducer?
