Need new engine mounts for my Yanmar 2GM20 (raw water). R&G, OEM or other?

Hi all, looks like i will order x4 of the Poly Flex Y2.5CTF engine mounts. From Southern Cross Marine.

please see photos below of my original engine mounts. Also i would like to get a flexible coupler between the shaft coupling but seems there isnt an existing gap for one. is there a way around this? thanks

R & D coupling is what i have, can you slide the shaft aft ??
reduce the inboard end of the shaft ??
check the R & D website

Can't see how there isn't room. You can slide the shaft back as suggested. You could shorten the stuffing box hose it looks quite long anyway, you could cut the shaft or there might even be enough just to push some more back into the coupling. You would need to drill a new dimple in the shaft to take the locking bolt. Pushing the shaft back might leave a bit much beyond the p bracket. Ideally the gap between P bracket and prop should be the diameter of the shaft. There's plenty ways round it though.

Alternatively you could look at a Sigma Drive, has internal taper lock and UV joint takes up small miss alignment. That’s what I’ve just fitted as needed more room for alternative shaft seal
