Need HELP identifying a boat

Hello, I need help to identify an uknown boat. Its aprox 20 feet and have a VW-1600cc (60-65HP) inboard diesel motor. Any information would be most appriciated. I can`t link up to any online photos, but please use attached link witch will direct to denmarks largest used salessite. Thank you in advance.

I would say you were spot on. Maybe they made inboard and outboard versions or possibly the op's boat has been converted.

I'd suspect there were inland canal based and coastal waters based variants with the inland canal ones lasting. Very early pics and adverts on fibreclassics show adverts for them being on coastal waters. I'm no expert but the boat looked very similar to one moored near me on Bridgewater canal when I lived in Cheshire

Yep it's a vanguard, my parents had one many years ago.

They definitely had a choice of inboard or outboard engines. My parents had a mercury 50 on it, there was another one in the harbour which had an inboard, don't know what engine but it had an Enfield outdrive.

I think they were mainly built for inland but could be used for coastal. From memory they had much more cabin space than an equivalent Shetland.
