With the Birchwood sale now agreed, a deposit has now been paid on our next vessel, so meet Nepththys, the beautiful Broom!

We looked long and hard to find a boat with dual helms but affordable running costs and whilst not exactly a Flybridge, the upper helm is close enough!

Also, to find such privacy on a thirty footer (Two totally seperate double berths, each with their own WC/ Shower!) is almost unheard of, and still leaves the potential for a third couple in the Wheelhouse berth, although it looks a little short...

Subject to survey (Looks very tidy though, so fingers crossed...) we should be out and about during March.

Watch out then /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Nephthys

Nebt-het, or Nephthys, was the daughter of Seb and Nut, and the sister of Osiris, and Isis, and Set, and the wife of Set, and the mother of Anpu, or Anubis, either by Osiris or Set.

Nephthys is the personification of darkness and of all that belongs to it, and that her attributes were rather of a passive than active character. She was the opposite of Isis in every respect; Isis symbolized birth, growth, development and vigour, but Nephthys was the type of death, decay, diminution and immobility.

Seems like a suitable name for a Broom!

Nephthys quite often was described as a youthful, nubile, and exceedingly beautiful goddess

Not a bad combination then? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

"the personification of darkness.."

So I guess that makes John the Prince of Darkness!

Et tu Ian /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I know Brooms (Especially 30's) are usually owned by coffin dodgers, but the practicality is hard to ignore eh?

We did the Sports cruiser thing remember? Got a bad back staggering around hunched up like a rasberry, and sleeping on the bloody thing was as impossible as the Wake...

You wait. Once the birds see me waltzing past Windsor high street, everybody'll want one. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes, he will be boating next year in a Darth Vader costume and rambling on about the POWER of the DARK SIDE.

No-one is safe from the new evil empire.....

/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Getting credibility as the 'Evil fricking dictator' of Windsor was quite difficult in the Birchwood in fairness, as even the lockies waved at me.

This new, more sinister craft should instill a more suitable sense of fear into people, especially when we dress the Dog up a bit...

Oh yes, they'll crap 'emselves /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My seven year old has a Cyberman helmet that distorts your voice if you are interested??? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

With all that space, you can get up to all sorts behind those net curtains /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It looks like a fine vessel though, hope it goes well.

Lets hope that Nephthys hasn't got a wobbly bottom when the surveyor start poking around!! Could be catching from past elderly owners /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

On a lighter note.... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
