...made my first autopilot cock up overnight on Sunday and headed north for nearly 6 hours with the wind shift.

Now 140nm from cape town and making 8.5knts. Should just about be across the line today - I hope there are a few beers left in the fridge?

Not a bad effort - started 36 hours late and in position 550ish so I have definitly overtaken quite a few who started ahead of me and are still racing. Looking forward to a timly start in leg 2.

yeah, sorry about that.

I decided that i had way to many details on view in the public forum, so changed my handle and got rid of some more useful info from my prfile.

Still not at the cape though, another 17 miles to go so should just about make it by midnight /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
