Re:Skoda, rise of the brand

well all I would add is that I had exactly the same thought that starte this thread - I believe it was a product of the number of pictures and their placement; I hadn't noticed before.

Re: OK here is the MBY naked feature

"nasty fake breasts" HOW do you know this, & how long did you have to look at them to establish this please ?????

Oh come on, look at numbers 2 and 5, too big, too falsly round, too perky, they look like a couple of footballs grafted on and I bet if you tap them they'd feel like tapping the side of a boat!

Nasty...

Re: Actual Naked Ads in MBY

Yes true, but I dont think boat buyers need a mag to educate them about which boats are good/bad

So where does a budding boat buyer (particularly a first time buyer) get the info?

Ask the owner? Show me an owner that doesn't think his boat is fantastic? The dealer? Think he might be a little biased too.

There is no proper source of genuine unbiased info, people read the brochures, wander round the boats at boatshows, then buy the one that the missus likes the galley layout of, or if not a first time buyer the one that gives them the best part exchange price of the existing boat ("Look Doreen, I got the same back for our old boat in part exchange as we paid for it, didn't I get a great deal, I'm a terrific negotiator me". Yes mate, you got £20K too much for yours against the LIST price of a boat that is £50K more than it should be in the first place, well done. Good luck with the resale when it's time to get out. Still, can always part exchange for an even bigger one at full list I guess...)

Re: Actual Naked Ads in MBY

I dont think the mags do a bad job. But to find a good boat, you first need to have one to compare with...!

Re:Skoda, rise of the brand

easy to turn around, they can only go up in status, I wanted to buy my wife a Skoda, but she wasnt having any of it, hated the image, ended up with an Audi

Where's the problem? This advert can not be misinterpreted in any way it's pushing a new range of silicone based inflatables. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Mike.

Re:Skoda, rise of the brand

VW buy it, send them there obsolete tooling and production line, change the badge from VW to Skoda, and there you have it. As it's now a VW we rush out and buy it, may be out of date, but it's foriegn, not that cheap now, and the press say it's good.
Octavia is a Passat.
