NE London to Titchmarsh marina. ??

Have a berth at Titchmarsh for over 10 yrs. Live nr Grays (Lakeside). It takes on average 1 hr 10 mins. Either M25/A12 or A13/A130/A12 doesnt make a lot of difference. Late Friday afternoon / early evening does take a little longer but of no real concern. Its a nice marina and Walton area is ok. The fishing is good if you interested.

I'm interested that you say that, because like you, I live in St Albans, but we made the opposite move (Levington to Burnham) about 5 years ago. We can get to Burnham (well, Bridgemarsh) in <80 mins, even on Friday evenings, but it seldom took less than 2 hrs to Levington. I take your point about getting to the open sea though. Additional points were - Levington could not offer us a berth, it cost about twice as much, and it's difficult to get to by public transport.

Well, it was usually on Friday evenings, when the M25 can be pretty dire.

You made me doubt my memory, so I looked up the 2 routes on the AA website:
St Albans - Levington 92 miles, 2hr 5 mins
St Albans - Burnham 61 miles, 1 hr 40 mins
